The Caxton Club and Newberry Library will host a symposium on the history of the book and also explore alternative publishing tomorrow, Saturday April 6, at The Newberry Library. The event begins at 8:30am with coffee, proceeds on to a welcome message at 9:00am, and then splits the rest of the event into two sessions. Both sessions have a host of speakers from all over the map–professors, editors, magazine librarians–and will have much insight to offer regarding unconventional messages and their conveyance (or lack of) in media. The event is open to the public and calling your free-first-weekend-of-spring-quarter name.
