Recently, we’ve been enraptured with nontraditionally-formatted poetry. We happened upon “Internet Poetry” (internetpoetry.tumblr.com), a blog that features submissions in the forms of concrete poems, digital images, screenshots, and more internet-based works. It presents a blend of the sentimental and the ridiculous; the ridiculous often stemming from nonsensical writing, meme humor, and the strange (no other way to describe it but this). What fascinates us most about Internet Poetry is that it is blurring the line between traditional and experimental, forcing viewers to reconsider what they know as “poetry,” and what they know as “nonsense.”
To submit, visit internetpoetry.tumblr.com/submit. The blog accepts poetry as screenshots, image macros, and other internet-based forms.
